Defending the Indefensible

Cincinnati:
Hurley the Historian says today could be a significant date in the Decline and Fall of the GOP in Hamilton County, that is if Temporary RINO Party Boss George Vincent doesn’t chicken out and actually appears at the Blue Chip Young Republican Club meeting at 7 PM at Monty’s (4108 Montgomery Road in Norwood) tonight to attempt to justify his inexcusable record.
Cross-examining Vincent on his misdirection of the local GOP will be Family Friendly Fascist Chris Finney. Political Insiders recall Finney received a modicum of notoriety for that time he called Devious DemocRAT David A. Pepper an "Asshole.” Given Finney's antipathy towards tax-hiking politicians from a privileged background who owns part of the Cincinnati Reds and lives in a 21-room, seven bathroom Indian Hill estate, we wonder what colorful turn of a phrase Finney will come up with this time.
As the Official Voice of the Conservative Agenda, the Blower is expecting nothing less than a
Jimmy “I Have Sinned” Swaggart apology from the worst Hamilton County GOP Party Boss in history. We understand Vincent has VIP tickets for Tuesday’s McCain rally for anybody NOT asking him any embarrassing questions, such as:
Why did you support Devious DemocRAT Hamilton County Commissioners Odd Todd Opportune’s and David A. Pepper’s Super-sized $900 million Feel-Good-Social Programs Jail Tax Scam that would’ve included the GOP Sheriff Simon E. Leis Memorial Hoosegow?
Why did you make that sleazy, unprecedented, last-minute backroom deal with Demo-Labor Party Boss Tim Burka to deprive voters of their legal right to have a choice in electing their county’s political officeholders?
Why did you refuse to run anyone against a tax-and-spend Liberal like Odd Todd Opportune, citing the lack of funds, despite being paid off by the big business whores to support the Senile Sheriff’s Jail Tax Scam?

Why did you cave in to That Lying Plagiarizing Meddling Overblown Tax-and-Spend RINO Bitch Mean Jean “Hoffman” Schmidt and arrange for your so-called Executive Committee to endorse the most embarrassing elected official in Southwest Ohio political history (including Jerry Springer), especially after you told people she would never ever get your support?
Why do you refuse to stand with Real Republicans who oppose any further funding for Empty Uppity Oprah Winfrey Campaigning for Obama, Under-funded, Ugly-ass Poorly-Planned Unnagraown Rayroe Museum Not-so-Free” dom Center?
Why do you stand there with Ghiz all over your face, continuing to support Ghizzy Lizzy on Cincinnati City Clown-cil, after she endorsed Devious DemocRAT David A. Pepper?
Why have you sold out every Republican Principle in creation?
Right after the November elections in 2006, The Blower empanelled a focus group to find out why Republicans got exactly what they deserved at the polls, as well as the need for the GOP to come up with an action plan to correct those mistakes long before the 2008 Elections. National Club for Growth President Pat Toomey said the 2006 elections were not a repudiation of Republican principles, only the RINOs who were representing the Party at that time.
With only eight more days till this year’s Primary Elections, it should now be obvious to anyone with half-a-brain that Republicans hereabouts have definitely not learned their lesson. Maybe The Blower should be empanelling another focus group, this time to come up with some specific recommendations, telling Temporary Hamilton County RINO Party Boss George Vincent where to go.
Our Quote for Today Committee chose this claptrap from George Vincent on May 26, 2006, upon being re-elected chairman of the Hamilton County Republican Party (notice the part about low taxes): “I am honored to be re-elected Chairman and deeply appreciate the support of our Party loyalists. Our precinct executives are the backbone of the Party and they will again lead us to victory in November. The Republican agenda of low taxes, limited government, personal responsibility and respect for life remains attractive to voters in Hamilton County and across Ohio .”

Two weeks ago, in the Blower’s February 11 e-dition (Ronald Reagan’s apologies to Real Republicans in Hamilton County), The Gipper said, “But I am ashamed of where George Vincent, Rob Portman, and their friends have taken the Hamilton County Republican Party. Instead of less government, they wanted to give you more government. They endorsed candidates who do not maintain traditional Republican values. They supported wild spending, throwing over-taxed payers’ dollars at the biggest proposed expansion of County government in more than a decade. They have become that which you and I fought so hard against in the 1980s. The punishment you inflicted on them at the polls was well deserved. In fact, it may have been long overdue.
The Hamilton County Republican Party led by George Vincent is out of touch with the voters and its Republican base. These Republicans in Name Only have obviously not learned the hard lessons of 2006, and 2007. They took a well-deserved beating on Election Day because they abandoned their Conservative Principles, and in the end they stood for nothing. And people who do not stand for something will fall for anything.
A debate for the soul of the Hamilton County GOP would be superfluous, since the local Party has no future (or soul) as long as it continues to endorse tax increases, continues to support tax-hiking politicians, and continues to make deals with DemocRATs to guarantee their minority status. Hamilton County is the last red urban county in Ohio, and under Vincent’s appalling lack of leadership, it will surely turn “Blue,” and with no strong Republican base in Southwest Ohio to offset the overwhelming DemocRAT advantage in the rest of the state (thanks to Vincent and Mean Jean’s imperiled Second Congressional District that was 70+% Republican when Rob “Fighting for Failed Legacies” Portman handed it to her on a silver platter), Determined DemocRATS predict the Buckeye State will also turn Blue in 2008, for which President Hillary or Obama will be eternally gratefully.
And when THAT happens, we’ll be the first to tell you “We told you so.” Because, let’s face it, Political Insiders, that’s just the kind of guys we are.
