The Manchurian Candidate?
George Washington was famous for warning us to beware of foreign entanglements. But, some people cannot seem to resist seeking financial help from abroad, even from our adversaries. The Clintons historically just can't seem to stay out of bed with the Communist Chinese government. In the 1990s, it was proved that illegal funds were being funneled from Communist China to the political war chest of Bill Clinton.  Who can forget fundraiser Charlie Trie fleeing back to China? How about Mochtar and James Riady and all the money they slipped Mr. Clinton? Remember Clinton making the Grand Staircase Escalante a national monument? Never mind that it made all that shale oil off limits or that it made the deposits belonging to Riady all the more valuable; we were told by the liberal media mouthpieces that there was no scandal there. Let us not forget Maria Hsai tagging along with her pal Al Gore at the infamous Hsi Lai Buddhist Temple fundraiser, where the Democrats collected the big bucks from monks who had taken a vow of poverty. Pauline Kanchanalak also fled the States for her illegal fundraising for Bill. There were of course others and I don't want to turn this article into a list of "Friends of Bill" on the lam.
It is still stunning to me how little the press cared about things of such gravity, considering how a Senator playing footsie in an airport bathroom can tie up so much airtime on the news outlets these days.
Now that I have refreshed your memory, let me warn you that it appears Hillary Clinton may be repeating her husband's history with Chinese funny money. In late August, it was revealed that six members of the Paws family had given Senator Clinton $45,000 over the last two years, plus a total of $200,000 to the Democrat party in the same time period. The interesting thing is the entire Paws clan supposedly lives in a tiny 1,280 square foot bungalow in line with the noise of the San Francisco International Airport. When one looks at the one garage house on 41 Shelbourne Ave., one doubts the family could afford such contributions. The fact the head of the household, 64-year-old William Paw, is a Chinese-born man who only makes $49K a year as a mail carrier makes this all the more dubious. What an extremely generous family! They must have been saving for a long time.
Another strange coincidence is Clinton fundraiser Norman Hsu, a Chinese national, also listed 41 Shelbourne Ave. as his home address at one time. His donations to the Hillary Clinton Presidential campaign are said to strangely trace along similar lines as the Paws family donations to Mrs. Clinton.  Mr. Hsu is a wealthy New Yorker who was sought by the authorities in California for fraud. Stunning, how he has eluded arrest in California for over 15 years.  One must wonder who may have helped him do that. Taken into custody after he was exposed he was taken to California to face justice.  History however repeated as Hsu fled the Golden State, after posting two million dollars in bail. Now in the wake of his bizarre flight from California, escape by an AMTRAK train and re-arrest in Colorado, we watch as the Clintonistas try to figure out how to hold on to the $850,000 he bundled for them. The Hsu saga is very interesting and is generally being ignored or under reported by the Networks. I for one would love to know how he got the railcar on such short notice. AMTRAK is sold out well in advance. Who is the VIP who got him the railcar for his flight from justice? Who would have so much to hide that they would be eager to help him escape the authorities? Ponder that question my friends.
Hillary of course, responded she was "shocked" to find out Hsu was a fugitive from justice when the story about him first broke. She sounded as sincere as the character Captain Renault in the film "Casablanca" crying that he was "shocked" about what was going on in Rick's Place. She had no idea how someone so shady could have gotten so close to her.  Right and we are to believe she is the smartest woman in America and qualified to be our next President. Sorry, but if she is being honest, obviously she is quite stupid and should not be a housekeeper in the White House, let alone the Chief Executive of the United States of America! After Hillary's performance insulting General Petraeus with her "willing suspension of disbelief" comment: I am all the more offended by the woman having any role in the governance of our country.
The question has been raised of where the Paws family money is really coming from. It is doubtful the Paws, in their tiny home, really have the means to donate so much.  Is it coming from Norman Hsu? Evidence does not show that yet, but strongly suggests it might. Is it a repeat of the Communist government in Beijing funneling funds to the Clintons? That is not clear yet either.
What is clear is that this has happened in the past and the American people should be curious as to why the People's Republic of China would want another Clinton Administration. The answer can be found in the Bill Gertz book The China Threat, which details how the lax security concerns helped the People's Republic of China leap from being a decade behind the United States in nuclear weapons development to being on par with us. The Chinese military build up that started in the Clinton era was met with little concern in Washington DC. The hapless Secretary of State, Madeline Albright, commented that she was not troubled by this, and in her view, it would be a good thing if the United States were not the sole nuclear-armed superpower in the world. I well remember feeling numb when I heard that bloated idiot make that comment.
It may well be the Chinese are sending money again and laundering it to conceal the source.  The Chi-Coms need weak American political leadership, and they have shown a willingness to pay for it in the past. They need the kind of leader to be elected next year who will sign off on sensitive technology transfers to China, just as Bill Clinton did for them.  Bill's political pals also made a few bucks in the process. Loral AeroSpace and Hughes in particular are viewed as having helped China to leap ahead with missile design. Loral may have inadvertently taught them how to MIRV a missile when instructing them on how to load multiple satellites on a missile. Loading multiple satellites is not too different than loading multiple warheads.
Loral lost a valuable satellite with our latest encryption technology when a Chinese "Long March III" missile toppled and crashed. Their response was to improve the Chinese "Long March" missile so it would not happen again.  Loral and Hughes both taught the Chinese how to design their missiles to properly go through the various stages needed to get them into space. Problem is, in doing this they moved China ahead in the nuclear arms race. Prior to this, China could only hit the US mainland with a submarine launched missile. After getting help from those US companies, they now could strike the entire United States with an ICBM. When Bill Clinton was contacted by his pal and big time political donor, CEO Bernard Schwartz of Loral, and told the FBI was investigating them for this bit of help they gave the Chi-Coms, Clinton granted them a waiver, thus killing the FBI investigation.
Folks, those companies and Bill Clinton have made it possible for Communist China to turn you into radioactive ash with an ICBM. The Chinese paid good money, and for it they got exactly what they wanted: a weak leader in the US that opened the floodgates to American technology that its military could use against us.
China-gate is history that is still echoing... echoing in an avalanche zone that may still bury us. China is a direct threat to the United States and the fact they are shooting down their own satellites for practice and hacking our Pentagon computers reminds us they are probing for our weakness. As I type this, they are building a huge number of amphibious landing vehicles. The only question is not if, but when will they move on Taiwan and what actions will they take to stop us from responding militarily?
They could blow the locks on the Panama Canal, they could attack our military bases in the Pacific Rim. Or they could try to head off US military responses by attempting to purchase a sympathetic President of the United States. They would be looking for someone who would refuse to honor our treaty obligations to Taiwan or other Asian Rim nations in the event of Chinese aggression. Anyone come to mind?  This is of course speculation, but based on past history it is hardly outlandish to consider this could be going on. The latest saga of money coming from Chinese-born sources raises bad memories. "The Manchurian Candidate" is a real possibility in 2008.
Curiously, in recent days another old enemy of the United States made his views clear. Fidel Castro has endorsed his choice for the next US President: Hillary Clinton. He also urged Hillary to get Barack Obama to run as her running mate. This should be a wake up call to every single American citizen. You should ask why, on God's green Earth, you would ever consider voting for the chosen candidates of America's adversaries? Time to step up now, friends, and do what we can to save our country in the next election. Pick a good conservative candidate and defeat the liberals running for all offices in the general election in November 2008. God help us if we do not.
